Standard #11: Technology Standards for Teachers

Effective teachers model and apply the National Educational Technology Standards for Students
(NETS•S) as they design, implement, and assess learning experiences to engage students and
improve learning; enrich professional practice; and provide positive models for students, colleagues,
and the community.

Artifact I
Online Learning Module (Class Code: pz3beyv)

This artifact is an online learning module. A online learning module allows a teacher to assign and communicate with their students on an online medium. The link will lead you to a Google Classroom and the class code is provided to access the class. Using an online learning module demonstrates standard 11 of the Maine Common Core Standard (Technology Standards for Teachers). Online learning modules, like Google Classroom, are designed to help teachers and students. Using an online module gives students access to their school work at all times and can help engage students after or before class. An online module provides a community for the classroom.

Artifact II
Live Binder

Artifact II is a link to a Live Binder that I completed for the Technology for Teaching assignment in class. This Live Binder explores the lack of diversity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This tool can be incredibly useful for both students and teachers. It is easy to engage someone in a Live Binder; information can be presented in a multitude of different ways. Whether it is being used as a way to show a student’s knowledge of material or a teacher’s presentation of material, a Live Binder is made to enrich learning through technology.
