learning outcome V and VII

Citing sources using an MLA format has two components to it. The first being a Works Cited page. This shows the sources used in the paper compiled into one place with a specific way of formatting. A work cited page can be found in the Chosen Work Sample on page six. The second part of citing sources with MLA guidelines is in-text citation. In-text citations are used to reference the sources used during the writing of the paper to indicate what thoughts are other authors’. This can be seen a couple of times throughout the Chosen Work Sample. The name Widdicombe, the writer’s last name of the source I used for this project, is found inside of parentheses during times where I point to their writing and reference their thoughts.

Local revisions are used to address typical mistakes like sentence level errors. Change in word choice, omitting and adding commas, and rewording sentences can all fall into the category of local revision.
